The Varian and Astral worlds are kind of like after-life, but with a bit of a twist:
It’s no Heaven or Hell deal, souls are not judged by goodness or anything like it, but rather by mind and emotions.
Souls that perish with powerful emotions (like Durbe’s nobleness and Vector’s anguish) are reborn in the Varian world, making them beings of emotion mostly.
Meanwhile the Astral world is more of an enlightenment one, souls that achieve zen-like stuff, beings of peace of mind.
I’m not saying Misael fought Mulan, but Misael totally fought Mulan.
